Our Commitment

The primary mission of Stand Up for the EarthTM is to help organizations reduce their environmental impact and to recognize those that achieve this commitment. While visionary organizations like the Clinton Foundation focus on providing technical assistance and bargaining power to 40 participating cities with area populations of three million or more, Stand Up for the Earth is doing its part to help developers, building owners and managers of large and small facilities across the United States. From small communities like Jamestown, New York (population 29,918) to large cities like Phoenix, Arizona (population 1,512,986), Stand Up for the Earth is ready to help businesses and organizations create greener, more environmentally friendly buildings.

“It is our collective and individual responsibility to protect and nurture the global family, to support its weaker members and to preserve and tend to the environment in which we all live.”
- Dalia Lama

The Stand Up for the Earth partners are working together to help businesses and organizations reduce energy consumption, create more efficient facilities and preserve natural resources. Green building isn’t just for new construction - most existing buildings can be easily upgraded and made greener. This Web site is packed with information to help organizations reduce consumption and save money in new and retrofit construction. All member companies of Stand Up for the Earth are committed to this important green build initiative, and are ready to work with your organization — regardless of size. Whether the project is new construction or an upgrade to existing facility, we can help.

If you are an individual or large corporate entity, you have a responsibility to protect the environment and preserve natural resources. Energy efficiency is the most cost effective, cleanest and fastest technology we have to reduce energy use and consumption.
